On Thursday, September 6, 2001, Sarah and Merlin posted the following announcement to the ADT mailing list:
Sarah (aka, Sarah Endipitty Doo-Dah Dale) and Merlin (aka Merlin daWunda Dale) wish to announce the birth of
9 loud, active, and very hungry puppies
at times ranging from 3:45 am this morning until 12:50 this afternoon.
Merlin said to tell everyone that it was no trouble at all and he had a great time.
Sarah asked me to relate to the world that (quoting) "If that big lummox ever does this to me again, I'll bite his [censored] off. Also tell them to send LOTS of food -- I'm starving."

That was all originally, but these little guys 'n dolls have been growing faster than kudzu in an auto graveyard. While the biggest little guy was 8.5 inches long and weighed a "mere" 12.5 ounces at birth, on Sunday evening (when this page finally got updated) he was up to a little over 17 ounces -- and can't be held still long enough to measure him for length. It's a good thing they were born when they were: they were clearly planning a breakout (and still are, I suspect)...
Overheard in the crib tonight: "Whadday mean look where I'm going... can't you see my eyes aren't open yet!"
(Apologies to those of you who tried to get in earlier -- we had a major lightning hit a little while back and our web server machine was more crippled that I had thought, so it took a little longer getting the pictures up fo you to see.

Stay tuned -- considering the way these little brigands are growing, REAL SOON NOW they might be re-writing this page. (they tried this week, but their toes kept getting stuck in the keyboard...)

(No, week four is not the photo of a pride of lions devouring their kill — there's just a really strong resemblance ...)
