Pictures of our new rescue dale ...

Here are the pictures of the new little guy I mentioned on the ADT list today.

Picutres of little (a) "Mr. Frisky," (b) "Ozymandes," (c) "Ted," and/or (d) "Zeke," depending on whether you ask (a) Nicholas, (b) Bill, or (c and d) Cathy, and possibly depending on the way the wind is blowing.

"Frisky" was four months old on March 25th and he has lived his entire life up until yesterday in a small cage. He had to share a small cage with a large English sheepdog puppy and they were crowded. He has now been rescued and we are working on human- and canine- socialization, but he is a little late to start and although he has a really great personality, he will have to learn (among other things) not to attack Merlin, not to steal all the hooman food, and not to try to keep all three tennis balls to himself.

Anyway here are the first pictures of him of have taken... I apologize for the quality of a couple of the shots -- I'm still having trouble adjusting to a digital camera which doesn't "act" like my 35mm.

The following pictures were all taken today (2000-03-27)...

Sarah and "Frisky"

Merlin, Sarah, and Frisky

Frisky on a mission?

Well, that's about all for now -- hope you enjoyed the pix. It was a little hard to keep him still long enough to focus with this camera, but with luck, my picture-taking skills will improve before the next set of shots go up...

By the way, if you come to Merlin & Sarah's Third Annual Atlanta Airedale Party on April 7th, you can meet "Frisky" in person (and possibly be bitten by the NEEDLESOFDOOM which he has by way of teeth).

If you'd like to come, please write to Bill at waustin@speakeasy.net and let him know ... and directions, etc. will be on their way faster than you can say "Hey, little Sir Poops-a-lot has done his thing over here again..."

We don't know yet whether (a) he will go to a new home with loving hoomans or (b) he will be stuck with us for the rest of his life, but Merlin and Sarah seem to be thriving on the confusion around here, so he might enjoy it, too. Afer all, if a pet shop crate didn't crimp his style, what can some crazy uprights and a couple of other ADT's do to him?

Tune in again later and watch him grow ...
