Happy Howling Dales!

Now is the season, so please enjoy our all-time favorite
Airedale Carols of the Season

(BTW, that's Sarah on the left, and Obi on the right, and yes, the couch really was picked to blend with the Airedales.)

And (re-)announcing a classic holiday tail, A WOOFMAS CAROL, featuring several well-known Airedales and other assorted, unsavory characters.
(If the typefaces on that link to not look "right" on your screen, it is most likely a font problem — try this alternative link.)

A WOOFMAS CAROL

by Bill with help from Obi and Sarah

and

with many apologies to C.D.

"I have endeavoured in this Ghostly little tail, to raise the Ghost of an Idea, which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me. May it haunt their houses pleasantly, and no one wish to lay it."

Their faithful Friend and Servant,

        B.A.

December, 2003.

And if that isn't enough for you, the late, great Perfesser Merlin has most graciously
allowed us to reprint his famous (infamous?) paper on
The nature and existence of Santa Claus

After numerous threatened legal actions by (among others) The Charles Dickens Anti-Defamation League, the American Literary Guild,
the A.C.L.U., the states of Georgia and California, the governments of all countries beginning with the letters "A", "E", or "N",
the F.B.I, the I.R.S., the C.I.A., the L.S.M.F.T., and my neighborhood homeowners' association, we have had to remove

A ’DALE OF TWO CITIES

in order not to be harassed around the clock.

Contributing to the problem was the fact that due to technical difficulties the story kept disappearing from the website,
generally being replaced by random scribblings of some real nut-case.
(To be fair, in the true holiday spirit the nuts were toasted and sugared, but I digress.)

At any rate, the entire magnum opus has disappeared from the site
(and unless someone downloaded it about a year ago and emails me a copy)
it will not be restored... sorry.

There remains here only a brief excerpt from A ’Dale of Two Cities which is still available for the braver of heart.

Of course we will all be having guests over the holidays (or perhaps will be becoming guests)
and some advice on introducing your guests to Airedales may be especially useful at this time of year --
here is the latest set, fresh from Merlin, Sarah, and Obidiah
Instructions for Introducing Guests to Your Airedale(s)

Finally if the above are not enough for you, we have collected our past years' (and this year's as well)

Ledders 2 Sandy ClaWs:

It took a lot longer than expected, but here are our previous (pre-crash) web pages ...
with lots of repairs and a few gaps
(Many apologies if your personal favorite is no longer available)

Our puppy page

Our second puppy page

Our infamous Spring ADT parties

Our rescue -- "Mr. Frisky"

The true origin and history of the Airdale race on the planet Earth

Our "original" and text-oriented web page

And finally, here is a farewell tribute to my all-time best friend, Merlin daWunda Dale
